In today's high-tech world, Artificial Intelligence (AI) shines as a symbol of innovation. It's the result of human creativity, mixing computer science, math, and how our minds work to give machines human-like smarts. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become crucial in the modern world, transforming industries and revolutionizing technology. It automates tasks, uncovers insights, and drives innovation, offering the promise of a smarter, more connected future.

Enhance human capabilities

Artificial intelligence is not considered a threat for humans because it helps them excel in some skills and professions.  Humans can take advantage of AI by combining human knowledge with the speed of AI tools. The collaboration between AI and humans will make humans utilize AI computational power, data processing capabilities, and problem-solving acumen to address complex challenges more efficiently (1)(3)(4).

The researchers proved that AI can enhance human results in different domains, such as medicine, healthcare, and even languages. A study that focused on the effects of student-AI collaboration (SAC) on a learning task showed that SAC can remarkably affect creativity in content, expressivity in expression, and public utility in effectiveness, depending on students' attitudes toward AI and their level of drawing skill. So AI is a valuable tool to complement human expertise and cultivate their creativity.

Controlled development

Developers create AI systems to serve specific purposes within limitations, ensuring they operate within predefined boundaries. Besides, developers follow the ethics of artificial intelligence as proposed by UNESCO, which is the first global standard on AI ethics. This framework emphasizes respecting human rights and dignity, preventing harm and illegitimate aims, ensuring safety, security, and privacy, establishing data protection frameworks, and respecting cultural diversity and heritage. The recommendations serve as a global regulatory guide for countries to create their own legal frameworks for ethical AI deployment (5)(6).

Overall, UNESCO's ethical AI framework emphasizes human well-being and values as central to AI development and deployment. By adhering to these principles, developers and policymakers can ensure that AI benefits society while minimizing potential risks and harms.

Limited autonomy

Regardless of advancements in AI capabilities, all AI systems have limitations. AI cannot act or work independently of human control. AI relies on the algorithms, data inputs, and interactions that are assigned by developers. Therefore, all AI systems are under human supervision. Human supervision ensures that AI remains aligned with human values and objectives. A study asserts that AI can not make decisions outside of the data provided by humans, emphasizing that AI does not pose a direct threat to humans (7)(8)

To sum up, AI is not considered a threat to human life, and it does not replace humans. It is just a complex system that facilitates tasks for humans. And it provides humans with accurate data and helps them enhance their capabilities. Besides, developers must not preach the ethics of AI proposed by UNESCO, which guarantees that AI never threatens human life.
