The world around us is a tapestry woven from intricate threads of cause and effect, interconnectedness, and real-world scenarios. Traditional textbooks often present information in a compartmentalized way, leaving students yearning for a deeper understanding of how these concepts play out in practice. This is where case studies step in, offering a captivating alternative approach to learning. These in-depth analyses of real-world scenarios provide students with a window into the complexities of various disciplines, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving abilities and a deeper understanding of the subject matter.

Case studies serve as catalysts for active learning.  Through in-depth analysis of real-world scenarios, students are presented with the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills.  They are encouraged to question assumptions, analyze information, and formulate well-reasoned arguments.  This hands-on approach fosters a deeper understanding of the subject matter and its practical applications (1).

A case study is a detailed investigation of a particular subject,  often a person, group, or situation.  Researchers delve into nearly every aspect of the subject, meticulously analyzing their history and experiences to identify patterns and understand the causes behind behaviours.
