The world has truly changed over the years. As humanity grows and develops, so does technology. In fact, technology serves as an integral part of society and a true example of innovation. Technology grew to an ever evolving force that is crucial to shaping the world, leading to a revolution which holds it in its grasp.  

To think, computers started as nothing but what could be considered a small brick with a miniscule screen. Now they’re an important part of human society, present in many sides. AI started out small but has grown exponentially since then, just like technology. Both possess vast history and great benefit to humanity. 

Evolution of Technology and AI

From computers to smartphones and even the internet, all these examples of technology and more have become a vital part of human life. While they started out small and perhaps nigh-unremarkable, it wouldn’t be an understatement to call their growth explosive. The internet paved the way for websites, blogs, chats and so much more.  

Now getting into the subject of AI, artificial intelligence started when a generation of experts had the idea to make it happen. But it wasn’t until the development of computers that it truly took off. Having a program capable of learning and imitating human intelligence may sound like something right out of a sci-fi movie, but it’s happened. A number of examples are some people use everyday, perhaps without even realizing it (1)(2). 

Effects of the dynamic duo 

With the exponential growth of technology and AI, came the many applications of this dynamic duo. The expanse of technology brings about a transformative change to society, improving communication, education, healthcare and more. For instance, there are a vast number of apps suiting nearly every need. Methods of communication grew to allow people all over the world to connect. There are even apps, with millions of videos of all purposes, multitude of uses and cloud storage functions (3)(4).

The inception of the internet led to the growth of AI, then carrying on with development like mobiles and even cloud storage. Apps, tv shows, chatbots, AI’s got them all. And now it has become integrated with society, transforming nearly all walks of life. It has especially grown in use after the COVID-19 pandemic, the circumstances of which left people with no choice but to rely on it, particularly students. And its growth only increases from there, with much development expected on the horizon (5). 

All in all, the dynamic duo of technology and AI have truly revolutionized the world. They continue to be an example of human innovation and potential, and their future is only looking brighter from here. One would do well to stay abreast of the developments of this duo to avoid being left behind.
