Dr. Shada Attraplsi is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and a specialist in Functional and Integrative Medicine. She brings more than twenty years of clinical, research, and leadership experience and focuses her medical practice on identifying the root causes of chronic disease through advanced functional and integrative diagnostic approaches. Dr. Shada earned her medical degree from the University of Tripoli in Libya and later completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Research at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, where she participated in research funded by the U.S. Department of Defense examining the role of the gut microbiome in cancer. She subsequently completed three years of Internal Medicine residency training at Marshall University Medical Center in West Virginia and became board-certified in Internal Medicine. She also serves as an Assistant Professor and participates in the education of medical students at California Health Sciences University College of Osteopathic Medicine (CHSU-COM) in Clovis, California. Dr. Shada later completed a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. She also holds advanced certifications in Functional Nutrition and Environmental Toxicology. For more than six years, Dr. Shada has served as Chair of the Professional Behavior Committee at CRMC Hospital in California. In this leadership role, she supports the integration of behavioral health within medical care delivery, with a focus on collaborative care models, physician mentorship, quality improvement initiatives, and enhancing the overall quality of patient care. Her clinical work centers on identifying metabolic, hormonal, inflammatory, environmental, and biochemical imbalances that may not be detected through conventional testing. She integrates Functional Medicine, therapeutic nutrition, environmental health, and mind-body medicine to help patients restore sustainable energy, strengthen emotional resilience, achieve hormonal balance, and support long-term metabolic health and vitality.
